On Victoria Day 2005 I drove down to Wilmington NY and did Whiteface as a test...
This sign is actually a New York-style practical joke... If this were true, the Province of Quebec should be surrounded by signs "ROUGH ROAD - NEXT ENTIRE PROVINCE" :-)
After the reconnaissance drive to the top of the mountain...
... back down to the motel and ready to ride that sucker.
A little more than an hour later...
... I had a new personal best in the bag!
Still pumped from riding that sucker in the fog and wet as a cat.
A few minutes later at the Wilmington base... satisfied and cold, ready for a shower and a steak dinner in Lake Placid.
