The die is cast and the deed is done....
Presenting the latest addition to the Schoux-stable....
"RAPTOR"
I ordered it 4 weeks ago from Urbany in Kayl...
...and on the 30th of March it arrived.
A 2007 BMC ProMachine SLC01, customized with Shimano DuraAce 10-speed group, Bontrager RaceXLite Wheels and bottlecages and a sweet-ass San Marco Concor Lite saddle...
...those Swiss really know how to build bikes..
...view from the cockpit...
On April 1st 2007, ready to ride...fueling up, locked and loaded !
And Urbany did a good job getting my setup juuuuuuust right !
(Just checking.... I know I am a stickler for details :-))
I was excited as TA and myself took the beast out for its maiden ride/photo-session.
After having done a cool 50 clicks on CalBlue, I was warmed up and ready to get my kicks on the naked carbon-designed BMC steed.
Final adjustments of machine and rider...
...who looked "handsome" (quote TA) in the brand new Oakley M-frames (second pair of my life) and snazzy BMC cycling-garb...
...and we were ready to brave the early April sun.
First the climb up the Col Europeen in Niedercorn...
...then a swoop down to Lasauvage to test the BMC's "raptor"-like descending skills...
...and some "posing" picture-poses.
Sweet bike at 7.6 kilos.
And the rider was all smiles :-)
Let me just say that "Raptor" likes to climb...
...but LOOOOVES to descent !!!
