After I was done with my chores at my former employer, Teri Ann and myself jetted towards the Canary Islands... Fuerteventura! I could not get my feet wet quickly enough!
The weather was nice at 20 degrees celsius but for us the sea was too cold to swim...
...which did not prevent a horde of teutonic, fat, naked, wrinkly, old tourists to do just that. Dammit! Put some clothes on, you're scaring the children!
But my baby and me were happy to be out of the cold in Luxembourg and on the sandy beach!
(Notice more naked, ugly, fat Germanic barbarians in the background...)
Our bungalow was one of many in one of many bungalow complexes on the island... The Esmeralda Maris at Costa Calma.
The place was excellent for 2 people... Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a nice living area around a central (private)courtyard...
...and a terrace where we had breakfast every morning in the sun... with the occasionnal visitor
Ok it's a dove... but nevertheless a bird on the Canaries... would that make it a "Canary Bird" ????
The holiday was perfect for relaxing (but we managed 3 times a run on the beach as well... twice for one hour and once for a 90 minute run... the first time I've EVER ran that much!!!!)
And in our Suzuki we also explored the mountains on the island...
...and the architecture...
...and had fun on the go-kart track ... and the great vistas around the island.
Can anyone say "Kelloggs's Special K - Calendar Girl" ?
The wildlife on the island was largely of the Capra aegagrus hircus
species...
