- I don't care-
Listen all you so-called experts, you so-called holier-than-thou journalists, organizers, officials, you over-the-hill former riders who have to give their expert opinion on anybody and anything... I DON'T CARE! I don't care about you, I don't care about what you think, I don't care about who you are... and FIRST and FOREMOST I DON'T CARE ABOUT DOPING !
Why? Because the tests don't work. Simple analogy... a bike has to weigh a certain amount to be considered legal to race. I remember Armstrong's bike on the Alpe d'Huez TT in 2004 was too light so they put in "heavier screws" or something... Great. Simple physics give an accurate measurement of a control. Bike too light-no good, bike heavy enough - good. When the IOC, WADA, NADA and all the string of so called anti-doping agencies can come up with a test they can administer to establish if a rider is doped that works as well, THEN I will care. I am sick and tired of having to change my opinion of a rider days, weeks, year, centuries (!) after an event just because some backroom scientist now supposedly has developped a "better test". Well listen to me ... "Better" does not cut it! Either it works with instantaneous results (which makes it in my opinion PERFECT) or it doesn't.
And don't get me started about Puerto and the like.... "Guilty by association" is just a fancy way of saying "Not guilty because we could not find a test that works but since we have a test that somewhat worked on your colleague who had the same doctor and ate in the same restaurant and shared your lunchbill and where both of you have slept in the same motel room [take a deep breath] and what not... and HIS test came back positive.... you're guilty!
So once and for all, here's from a true-blue cycling fanatic: Stop the witch-hunt and get on with racing! I wanna see exciting races and as long as there is no test that works, I don't care how clean the riders are. I DON'T CARE!

- You gotta be kidding me...
The Luxembourg authorities (as of this writing) think that it's no big deal that Schleck paid Fuentes but 2 years ago Basso got slapped a 24 month suspension for essentially doing the same, Ullrich had to retire and other cyclists got suspended and punished EVEN THOUGH they never failed a doping test. "I have done nothing wrong. I've never doped" echoes from Schleck and everyone who got suspended must be fuming. Basso never doped (according to his statement) but "planned" on doing so in 2006.
Don't get me wrong... it would pain me if one of my fellow Luxembourgers would be proven guilty by association to the Spanish dope-wizard ... but if there is justice (although skewed and crocked as it may seem to a true blooded cycling fan) then it should be justice for all.
